I have been listening to some podcasts and done some thinking. The idea of defining my infrastructure via code sounds appealing but I think my servers, physical and virtual, are more pets than cattle. I follow my own notes or create them when installing a new server and I enjoy updating them and the containers I run.

I have been playing a little bit with LLMs at home, following this guide from the Register. That was simple and running slow. I do have some other scenarios where a suitable processor can add to the experience such as with Immich which can do face recognition and image classification.
